Who We Are
PlacePartner Opportunities are a series of recurring sessions where our volunteers work alongside our field staff and/or ParkTenders. This is a perfect way to get involved, whether you are working your way up to being a ParkTender or working on bolstering your gardening or landscape management skills. Or maybe you just want to get your hands dirty and meet new people!
We will offer these volunteer opportunities throughout the park during the spring, summer, and fall months. When you sign up for an opportunity, you will be paired with one of our knowledgeable field staff who will direct you in caring for spring plantings, weeding invasive plants, removing trash, restoring lawns, raking leaves, or other priority park projects.
We will provide the gloves and any tools or materials needed - though you are welcome to bring your own! Please wear closed-toed working shoes, long pants, and comfortable clothes that can get dirty. Don't forget your water bottle!
What We Do
We work side-by-side with the New York City Parks Department, and we make improvements as diverse as the park itself and the city it serves. With the dedication and generosity of neighbors and park lovers like you, we can elevate your park experience and preserve this historic treasure for generations to come.
